AFT Doctor Who: The Doctor and Jack are gardening - part 2/3: Summer
It's been two years already since I posted Part 1 - Spring I always missed the right time window for the Summer entry.

In the Spring entry, you will see the Doctor and Jack planting. In Summer, the plants are already a bit higher but need further tending and also we got a few fruit and vegetables.

There will be a third part for "Fall", with the harvesting - and also a huge party. Stay tuned! Hopefully it won't take another two years ;)

The idea with the TARDIS as a rabbit hutch springs from a friend who did this for real.
And now on with thee pictures - as usual under the cut.

That TARDIS rabbit hutch! XD

My friend did all the hard work on that. It's totally adorable ;)

This is magnificent! I love the garden gnome mooning people. LMAO

But the rabbit hutch inside the Tardis is completely amazing. How did you get it to fit so perfectly?? (I know, I know, it's bigger on the inside....)

Thank you! The garden gnomes, believe it or not, come from Kinder surprise eggs! No idea what they were thinking LOL

The rabbit hatch was all my friend's doing, I had nothing to do with it. Another friend doing it for real with her real rabbits did inspire her. And then we bought lots of garden items. The scene was so lovely, I almost did not want to destroy it afterwards.

One more part left - the party at the end of the year!

As usual, I admire the details.

The naughty gnome reminds me David's story about the way he fobbed off the foxes in his garden. Have you heard that? ;)

I set up all my stuff at the kitchen table. I can tell you that I almost did not want to destroy this one afterwards, it was just too lovely! Thanks!

Hm, not sure. I remember an interview with David (something with milk? Where they ask people if they still know how much a pint of milk is?) and in that he talked about going to the garden naked in the dark sometimes. I don't remember anything about foxes though.

Another question I vividly remember was "How hairy is your ass?" LOL His reaction was priceless. If you don't know that, I have it downloaded somewhere.

You can watch the interview about the foxes here:

This man is a Time Lord, he played Hamlet, he's a national treasure and he openly talks about peeing in his own garden. ;)

Another question I vividly remember was "How hairy is your ass?"
I've seen a lot but this seems crazy, I don't know it!

It's those Brits. They don't care about anything. I mean, he kissed John Barrowman on a convention stage in America. Any American actor would be afraid of being thought as gay.

Ah, it was a video! Thanks for the link. Very funny. Mine is a journal paper interview and you can read it here: http://41.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lqkswsgLX11qczkl8o1_1280.jpg

I like it because it is different questions than usual. Pay special attention to the question "What is the one thing you do better than others" LOL He's priceless.

And just watching this interview... awww... that voice... I do have a pretty huge collection of all things he did for the radio - radio plays, or reading of stuff - which all were able to download for free from the official programme pages at the time - if you need anything? There is some lovely stuff. Do you know "Double income no kids yet"? I adore that. So funny, and so real! I could send you a list of things I have.

You're right, the questions are different than in most interviews, I wish there was a video with David's reaction to "How hairy is your arse" :D And what a nice photo of David they got. One of my favourites.

That line, I'll show you mine if you show me yours, I wonder, did he think about how it sounds when he was shooting the scene? ;) I usually watch Harry Potter with dubbing (I started this way when I was a kid and I got used to the voices) and it was an innocent line in Polish dubbing ("look at my arm and then at his", something like that), I had no idea the original line is a thing on the Internet. And that it's been quoted by the fans. Now he probably hears "Millah" ;)

I could send you a list of things I have.
If it's not a problem, yes, please. I don't know "Double income no kids yet" and I'd love to listen to it. It's hard to find such things after a long time.
Antjedieastra on September 10th, 2015 07:03 pm (UTC)
I'm not in the Harry Potter generation so even though I watched that movie with David (and was disappointed he was so little in it, in the book the character had more to do) I'm afraid I don't remember what this sentence was about.

I brought my laptop for repairing today, and from tomorrow on I will be in London, let's talk about this when I am back. I really have much lovely stuff. You'll love it. I am always happy to share as it is nice to squee with people.

The list is a word document so best if you send me your e-mail address via PM?

"Double income no kids yet" is a radio series, three seasons, 6 parts each season, 30 minutes each. I once started it when I was sick and I got so addicted that I could not stop. It was like watching a soap opera ;) It's about a man and a woman, who are without kids, but have lots of friends with kids and there is a lot of trouble of course. And it is so real, all the problems people have, with family and their parents. The dialogue is so great.

At one point they say about David's character that he is middle aged. Of course he does not like that and says middle-aged is always five years older than he is at the moment ;) Things like that. I can't wait to discuss it with you.
alumfelga: biggest familyalumfelga on September 14th, 2015 09:03 pm (UTC)
Well, it was about forearms :) After he was caught, Barty Crauch Jr showed Dumbledore his Dark Mark which became atcive because Voldemort has been reborn. Harry had his forearm wounded there because Voldemort needed his blood to do the 'regeneration'. It was an evidence of what happened at the cementery, from where they both have just come back.

There was a lot of things in the books that didn't make it to the movies :( The quiddich tournament in the third book, Snape's Defence Against Dark Arts classes, Charlie Weasley... I know there wasn't a place for everything but still, it's a shame.

I sent you my email address. "Double income no kids yet" seems to be a good one!
