Gift: Tiny dollhouse food and some AFT Star Trek as a Thank-you story
Someone from the William Shatner Facebook group who loves my action figure comics has sent me the most amazing tiny stuff! It all looks so real and awesome. Many thanks!
vjezkova some things may look familiar to you, as she also lives in the Czech Republic.

Everyone, definitely click the LJ cut as I have done many close-up detailed pictures, where I also included a Cent coin, just so you can see how tiny and cute it all is. My favorites are the bag of spaghetti, the box of eggs, the potato peeler, the yoghurts, the glass with little mushrooms inside and especially the small plastic bag. You can really open and use it. I have never seen something like this before. And the garlic! I need to find a Vampire figure now LOL All the tiny vegetables on the plates and cutting boards are loose, I can arrange them whichever way I want to. Did I mention how tiny it all is?

There was more also, a whole zoo of animals and fences to go with them, and the most funny thing, plastic food which is definitely the same I had in my Eastern German childhood. I'll do an extra post about these.

That's incredible detail for such tiny stuff! My favorite is the jar of pickled/preserved whatever, with the cloth cover over the lid. So cute!
Antjedieastra on August 16th, 2016 09:58 pm (UTC)
Yeah, that's one of my favorite as well. I think it's supposed to be mixed mushrooms. White champignons, yellow chanterelle and brown bay bolete:

So sweet & thoughtful when someone sends love mail!!!

It's all so adorable and tiny - those green/yellow sponges & the Colgate toothpaste are familiar items I've purchased lol.

Last pic is the best!
Antjedieastra on September 16th, 2016 09:25 pm (UTC)
Yes, I also know these sponges! I don't use them but they are very iconic. Seeing the small one I thought, maybe it was cut off from a real one? Such a simple idea but it never occured to me.

It was really nice of her to offer me all that!

As for the last pic, I had to use the table that I usually use for my bigger figures, so that all the food would fit onto it LOL

Really cute! Very cute of the person to gift you that.

Yes, it was really nice of her to offer! I couldn't believe it when she sent me the pictures.
Looking at it makes me hungry LOL

Wow, they are all awesome! I love the sliced cheese and vegies.
Antjedieastra on September 16th, 2016 09:22 pm (UTC)
It all looks so wonderful and tasty that I want to sit down and have a good meal!

Ah! These are really very nice! Yes, I can see mostly familiar items we see every day. I can read some Slovak words though - the word "flour" is in Slovak.
Our darlings have a good feast!
Antjedieastra on August 17th, 2016 08:25 pm (UTC)
Lovely aren't they? Oh, I did not know that there are also Slovak words. She bought it from someone else, maybe the person who made them is Slovak?. The beer bottle is German though, it says "Pilsner Urquell" LOL

Yes, they have a good feast, and I am getting hungry looking at it all! I want to try it! Especially the mushrooms.
Cowgrrl: cartoon-mecowgrrl on August 17th, 2016 10:17 pm (UTC)
These are great! And so tiny. The one cent coin (for anyone familiar with euros) really helps us see just how tiny. What. Great gift!
Antjedieastra on September 4th, 2016 08:57 pm (UTC)
I really love it, a very special gift! And many things I did not have before.

I once saw pictures on Tumblr where some guys made a huge 2 Euro coin, and then went up a ladder and put it on top of a phone booth or a car, and photographed it that way to make those real objects look small and miniature. It was very convincing!

Those are amazing! And yep, I like the jar of pickled mushroom. Such amazing detail!

Looks like they were cooking for a crowd. ;)
Antjedieastra on August 21st, 2016 04:10 pm (UTC)
I bet you would enjoy some of the stuff for your pictures also! Some of it, like the round cheeses, are obviously handmade. So anyone with a bit of putty could do it. But the mushrooms certainly take the cake! I am getting hungry just looking at them. Next time I am at the supermarket, I have to look for some.

LOL yeah I actually had to use a table I usually use for the 12" figures, just so it would all fit!
alumfelgaalumfelga on August 24th, 2016 05:13 pm (UTC)
It looks so real! It seems someone is getting a little (;)) feast.
Antjedieastra on August 27th, 2016 04:26 pm (UTC)
The most awesome stuff! Makes me hungry looking at it though. I need to find a way to shrink myself so I can take part in their feasts!
alumfelgaalumfelga on August 28th, 2016 03:29 pm (UTC)
I guess a shrinking potion from Alice in the Wonderland could be useful. Is there a big rabbit hole in your area? ;)
Antjedieastra on August 28th, 2016 03:40 pm (UTC)
Heh, if you knew how appropriate this comment is ;) You really need to watch TOS. There was an episode where they were at a planet where everything you said or thought came true. So McCoy said it looked like out of Alice in Wonderland, and then indeed a white rabbit and later Alice were running by. I need to find a white rabbit to recreate that scene ;)

That's an interesting idea. I suppose the bugdet didn't allow much, but I like the general idea. Again, "be careful what you wish for" reminder.

Oh, so the crossover has already been made ;)
Antjedieastra on September 1st, 2016 08:09 pm (UTC)
Oh yeah, definitely be careful what you wish for! It was a planet, designed as a little vacation for those that are on a space ship all the time. It was the first episode they shot in a real woods and beach, all the others even when being "outside", was just in the studio.

There is also a real tiger. It was on a leash but still quite dangerous. William Shatner first wanted to fight with it, but they were able to talk him out of it ;)

Somehow the programme went wrong and brought up all those dangerous things. Some people also were hunted by fighter planes. McCoy even "died" but magically lived again in the end.

So, I have found the white bunny! But where to get an Alice? She has such an iconic look, I may have to buy one to get it right.

The bunny is cute. Let's say, for now, that Alice is too small to be noticed ;)

There is also a real tiger.
The budget must have been quite high. It's not easy to get a real tiger sinve tigers are protected from extiction.

I wonder if that already was the case back in the Sixties though? I don't think the budget was that high. They always struggled. This was an early episode so it may have been higher then but later got cut and they had to do reduced sets and also always were in a hurry to finish filming in the allocated time. At the time it was filmed and aired, it was not the hit it is now. That only came several years later.

Look, there is Alice! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v446/kardel/IMG_1768_zpse001f4d1.png

And the tiger: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JeVOYCLdXb4/Ub4dR7Z9GmI/AAAAAAAAL30/kCjrdtSvcXQ/s1600/tiger.png

You might be right. Different time.

I hope they are far away from each other ;)
