AFT SG-A: The Puddle Jumper
I took these pictures today especially for sgamadison to show her my Puddle Jumper Model. If you want to build one too, go to this page: http://www.paperaviation.de/PuddleJumper/puddlejumper.html

There you find a Free Download for a Zip file with all the pictures. Just let them print in the right size and glue it together. It then should look like this:

Aww great Job. I really miss the old team together.

Thank you!
I just wish they also had given us a Beckett figure. Instead we got Keller. What shall I do with a Keller figure? I only bought her because she came with a cool laptop and a piece for the Atlantis chair.

I wish they had made Beckett, too *pouts* I only bought her because my husband likes Jewel Stait! (And for the cool laptop, which I've given to Rodney!)

It's the same reason why I needed to make my own Owen figure for the Torchwood team: Apparently they think dead people don't need actionfigures. Which is so wrong! Many would have bought this. I'd also have loved a Janet *sigh*

That laptop is so awesome, especially since it can be opened and closed! Tosh is very happy about it too, I put a Torchwood sticker over the Atlantis sticker, heh. I can always remove it again though.

Oooh, I would have LOVED to have a Janet figure! *sigh*

I'm not sure - had you seen the last promotion pictures of the Stargate figures that then did not get made? There was supposed to be a Black Ops Carter, a General Hammond, a Jack O'Neill in his blue Air Force dress uniform (thankfully I customized one myself, so I did not need this) and some Horus guard which looked really awesome.

But apparently no retailers bought them after the show got cancelled, as they feared nobody would buy them in the shops, so they never made them in the first place. It's a shame they started so late with the figures, they should have done some years ago.

I also saw a Ba'al figure sample that was supposed to have gotten made, but obviously didn't :-((( I would definitely have bought him ;-) I'm surprised they didn't do the Black Ops Carter since they had Black Ops Jack and Daniel. And Hammond.... I would have loved to have him, too.

I have considered doing some custom ones, but I can't bear to take apart the ones I have, and what do you do with the leftover bodies? ;-)
Antjedieastra on June 29th, 2013 04:23 pm (UTC)
Right, how could I have forgotten about the Ba'al! He was awesome. I also definitely would have bought him.

We also do have a Black Ops Teal'c, with hair and a shirt which shows his muscled bare arms. So all that is missing is Carter. Some have just painted a green Carter black, I suppose you can do that, but it's not the same.

I admit I have done more customs for the Doctor Who and Torchwood figures, which I can get quite cheap and lose off ebay. With figures so expensive like your Atlantis once, I would not dare either! As for my Jack in dress blues, I used the body of a Wesley from Buffy there, so all I had to do was putting the Jack head on it. Since the heads can be taken off quite easily, this is no big deal. And I don't use the Jack in the green base uniform (as opposite to the offworld uniform) much either. Here are some pictures of him:

That is amazing!!! I love all the detail you put in! I'm not sure I have the patience for that, at least not right now when I have so many other (house) projects to do :-)

Thank you! I had a great guide though, who had the idea first, I just retraced his steps. And I need to be in the right mood when doing this. Not all days are good for it.

It's also totally possible that the Stargate figures are made of a harder material and therefore more difficult to change/cut than the Doctor Who/Torchwood figures. It feels to me like that anyway. The only thing I have done for Stargate was repainting the desert uniforms:

And I also made the ramp to the gate wider so that the MALP would fit onto it but for some reason I never posted them in here. I should change that.

Have you ever thought of recreating that the first episode from season five ?
Antjedieastra on June 23rd, 2013 09:36 pm (UTC)
To be honest, right now I have no idea what you are referring to. I have watched the Atlantis episodes only once, long ago, and never was such a huge fan like with SG-1 where I have the DVDs and watched them countless times.

What is so special about this scene? Enlighten me, please!

Heh - still doesn't ring a bell - I must have wiped it from my memory ;) But the picture is self-explaining indeed.

We once did the scene where Teal'c was bitten by the big bug and ended up in a cocoon. It's not the same but close enough: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/7256.html

And later we recreated the scene at the original shooting location in Vancouver: http://rdanderson.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=113090#113090
