Gotham action figure scenes: Episode 2x17 - Alfred cooking breakfast for Jim Gordon
Finally I can show why I needed that apron for Alfred! I had set up this scene weeks ago and on the evening before I was taking the pictures I found this apron which belongs to a Wrestling figure. Then I had to wait for it to arrive and also make it tighter for Alfred. So here comes a re-creation of one of my favorite scenes - Alfred Pennyworth cooking a good English breakfast for Jim Gordon, who was wounded and is wearing a bathrobe. It's from episode 2x17 "Into The Woods".

I once bought that stove but this is the first use it gets. It fits perfectly for Wayne Manor!

Here's Jim with breakfast, coffee and a bowl of fruits:

Bad-ass Alfred is breaking eggs with both hands simultaneously! And here's my favorite quote:

"Right, so you were framed for the murder of that other police officer. You escaped from prison, you then tracked down the man that framed you and you were promptly shot in the leg.

Right, so, answer me this Detective.

Do you have any idea how you're gonna get out of this awful pickle?"

Thank you! I put much love into it and I think it shows. It was torture waiting for weeks for the apron to arrive. But so worth the wait, it makes the pictures much better.

Even Diamond Select Toys retweeted it!

Ooo, that's an amazingly faithful recreation, I love it! And how did you get Jim not to have his "regular" clothes showing out around that bathrobe??? *ponders* His head on a different body, perhaps? However you did it, it turned out so very cool! :D

All of the accessories really put it over the top, though. Great job! *applause* ♥♥♥

How far have you come in watching Gotham? Probably not until this episode. But you'll think of me when you get to the middle of season 2! ;) It is really a great scene. And, as I learnt today, Sean Pertwee was a chef before he became an actor, and this is how he learnt to open eggs like that. Alfred in the kitchen looked so natural, I loved that.

Haha yes, I pulled off Jim's head and put it onto Angel's body! Here you can see how it's done: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/249742.html

The figures are both made by Diamond Select, so it works, even though Angel is a bit smaller.

Thank you! I put much love into the scene and it shows. Much of the small food items I got from someone who likes my work, she gave it to me for free! Please check these pictures to see all the awesome things: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/222476.html

Gah, I love all those tiny things! The place mat, the butter!

One day you have to come visit me and then I am showing it all to you in detail!

Not sure if you saw this entry? http://dieastra.livejournal.com/222476.html

There I introduced all the food things I got for free from a Czech woman who likes what I do. Check it out, so much awesome stuff - some seems to be handmade. This is where the butter is coming from.

Setting up kitchen scenes is my favorite thing!

Now this is brilliant! The scene has everything that is needed for a regular film. Damn. You are wasting your talent!!!

Heh, thank you! Again I took of Jim's head and put it onto a shirtless body ;)

I love setting up kitchen scenes with all the food and stuff I had. I've never used that stove before but it fits perfectly for Alfred!

Fav scene: Alfred holding the eggs. The detail in your scene is so amazing.

Thanks! I didn't even have to use tape to keep the eggs in place, they fit into his hands just naturally!

I've learnt now that Sean Pertwee had been a cook (sous chef) before he became an actor and this is where he learnt to break the eggs like that! I love that whole kitchen scene, how he casually walks around and does stuff. It's not easy for an actor, to re-create such things take after take the same way and still think of your dialogue. Sadly while many other Alfred scenes are uploaded on youtube, I haven't found this one yet otherwise I would have linked to it.
