I've always wondered, do people give you funny looks when you're taking pictures in a public place?

There weren't many people in the park at the time, so I was mostly by myself, and my parents are used to it. There was one guy that worked in the park who asked me where he can buy Star Trek figures though, that was cool. He liked what I was doing. I made sure to stay on the way and not damage the buildings of course.

At other occasions I also have had nice conversations with people. When I did take Kirk and Spock around Dresden a woman from Florida approached me and even took some pictures of her own with them. Then she asked me where I was from, not expecting me to live in Dresden apparently ;)

Another time I had put the Doctor in front of the Zwinger and a woman asked "Excuse me, is this figure here all the time?" LOL

And once I went to Saxon Switzerland with a friend, also having the Doctor with me, and when we left at the train station a guy commented to his girlfriend "Look, there's Ken" and I corrected him that it was the Doctor. We met them two more times - there at the observation deck and also in the train back home, that was funny, and each time he mocked me asking "So where's Ken?" (I had put him away in my backpack).

Another man also noticed me taking pictures with the Doctor and took some himself and told his wife "This is art!"

So, that sort of thing. Once I also was in Saxon Switzerland with a Czech friend, and while we were busy setting up figures a lot of people walked up and down the way, and we made them all smile! And then she suddenly laughed, a school class from Czech Republic was also there, not thinking we would understand what they are saying, and apparently they said "They must be filming a movie!"

Scotty must have been busy beaming these two! LOL
Brilliant!

And yes, I am also interested in the onlookers´ reactions:-)

Haha, these are really great experiences. Not only you take lovely photos but you also have fun. Well, the best fun really is when someone doesn´t know you understand *winks*

Das mit den Größenverhältnissen passt ja wirklich gut!
Antjedieastra on July 5th, 2018 08:35 pm (UTC)
