But yes, I understand the hype now. It draws you nicely in. I was a bit vary of the supernatural stuff as that is not something I like, but it is well balanced with great characters and actors and a little bit of mystery is fine.

No, I'm still in the middle of season 1. Last three episodes tomorrow. So there will be something to RRRrrrrr about later? Looking forward to it ;) I try to stay away from spoilers and only read the episode discussions that I have seen.

It’s just printed cardboard and can be set up in any way. The asylum even has doors that open and pillars (which you need to fold up) for 3D effect. I love them!

I wanted a bit of a night scene illumination. I have an electric snowflake – like an electric tea light –that switches between colors of red, green, blue. So I am holding that with one hand to lighten the scene while photographing with the other. I have just a small camera but I am happy it can take such good pics. Of course you did not see the hundreds others that I threw away ;)

Just two of the many different pieces it comes with. I just love how versatile those are as you can put them together which ever way you want. And so quickly set up, if I am not in the mood for something more elaborate.

I only bought the Sheriff because I liked him but then everyone told me to watch "Stranger Things" (it's a new show that's set in the Eighties, with teenager boys who discover a supernatural mystery, quite fun) and now I am hooked *sigh* I knew that would happen. Now I have to buy more figures in this line. It never ends...

Don't feel bad for not knowing everyone, I am a member in some toy forums where guys post the weirdest figures and I have no idea which fandom they belong to ;) But they still look cool. That's what I love about this hobby, the variety. I found a girl on Twitter who does pictures with a little teddy bear, she has some of the same dollhouse stuff like me. So cute!

What? You've never seen "Terminator 2" with Robert Patrick? It's a classic! It's because of me liking him so much in this role that I finally started to watch X-files when he joined the team (started at the beginning with Mulder of course, but originally it really was for Robert Patrick)

The first Terminator movie was with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the bad guy. A mechanic Terminator which they were able to destroy in the end. But in the second Arnie was the good guy trying to defend the child (and it led to a lot of hilarios scenes where the kid tried to teach him to be more "human") against the new T-1000. It actually was the first DVD I bought, I did not even have a DVD player at the time. But it came in a cool tin case and somehow tickled my bones ;)

It was made in the Nineties and I remember seeing it in TV and being blown away by the special effects which were very new at the time. Especially the morphing. He could morph through bars, or also once hid as the floor, lying flat, looking like tiles and then attacking from behind. There was basically no way to stop or kill him as he just would close the bullet holes and look anew. Once they blew him up and he was many small puddles but then they morphed togeter again, like liquid mercury.

Very scary stuff! This is also how he has these spikes coming out of his hands.

I just started to watch "Stranger Things" a few days ago and I love it! I kept hearing a lot of buzz in the net about it. It's set in the Eighties and about a group of children who try to find their lost friend. There is something supernatural going on as well. Great fun! The kids are amazing, very natural. A lot of people like it as they grew up in the Eighties and remember all those things - kids roaming around, without parental influence. It feels like an old Spielberg movie, like E.T. or the like. First season is just 8 episodes if you want to try it out. They go by very quickly and you want to know what happens next. And I have fallen for the Sheriff now ;)

I had bought the Sheriff figure before I was watching and now it's so nice to actually know about him as a character and also he is an amazing actor. I just found out he also was in "Brokeback Mountain" which by chance came on TV yesterday evening so that's what I will be watching later!

I did like the first season of "24" with Kiefer Sutherland but then in the second it suddenly started to get too dark and violent for me and I stopped watching. OMG YOU WATCHED STRANGER THINGS!!!! I love this show. At one of Toronto's art festivals they did a Stranger Things installation with the upside down which I mentioned in this post:Nuit Blanche 2017.

Do we know how they actually did the floating things in the show? I have not seen any behind-the-scenes videos yet. Would have been nice if they added that to the exhibition.
