The librarian in the library
What better figure to put into a library? A librarian! Famous Nancy Pearl from Seattle.

Oh lovely! This reminds me of my librarian career very nicely!

Thank you! Right, I had forgotten that I have more than one librarian on my friends list! What a great job you have / had.

That's where she belongs to!

Silence in the library :D And no overdue books here!
Antjedieastra on August 10th, 2018 08:44 pm (UTC)
Sadly my button seems to be broken. There is a button at her back which would get the silence arm up in a quick motion ;)

No, she is quite firm that all books are brought back in time!

Heh, and just now I got an idea for my soon-to-be Stranger Things figures. There was a scene where little Dustin wanted to check out books (he needed important information for saving the world from monsters you see) but the librarian said he already had 5 and the rule was not more than 5 at the same time. I so could do that with this set and this figure and the registration desk! Need to switch the flatscreen to a proper computer though, as the show is set in the Eighties.

I love how I can combine all my things with each other! The more the merrier!

I also have never seen "An American Werewolf in London" but consider buying the two figures as you always can use some backpackers in coats. Some normal guys: http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/858771-3/13728478_10209509789078240_648436101_o.jpg

It happens to heroes all the time. That's why so little of them still read (eg. the Doctor), they just can't get new books and don't have time to return the old ones.

See, that's why I missed you. You comment and I get like 10 ideas in my head. Now I want to do a scene with the Doctor who is like decades late with bringing back a book. It must be indeed difficult for someone travelling back and forth in time! Or how he brings back a book he has not even rented yet LOL

Haha, or what about Superman or Batman or...

Thanks for the inspiration!

I once did something similar with Captain Kirk: https://dieastra.livejournal.com/151392.html

"Stranger Things" is set in the Eighties as the series would not work with nowadays access to google and smartphones. I loved how they paid attention on getting information from books, the old fashioned way. Or sometimes they ask their nerdy science teacher questions and he does not bat an eye and just explains stuff.

Brilliant! I'm happy I can inspire you from time to time.

Yeah. Those times weren't that long ago!
