Ted and Venus love story
I made these for Valentine's Day but never posted in LJ. So here a little late as promised for dustbunny105
Also have you seen the post where I introduced Ted and all the things he came with? He can have a lot of different expressions also: https://dieastra.livejournal.com/323087.html

And I love the park background that came with it!

Will he be able to melt her stony heart?

Love1

Originally I had planned for her to hit him as he said something offensive. But she preferred to pet him.

Love2

Nobody can resist his charm!

Love3

Aw, these are so cute! Ted manages to look so cuddly and Venus is amazing. The park background is lovely too.

Thank you :D

Not sure if you saw the Ted movies, he is cute but sometimes stuff comes out of his mouth that is rather offensive ;) But I see it now as having no filter, which I certainly also have, sometimes blurting stuff out I don't even mean like that or don't realize I can hurt people? So I actually can relate to him!

I love that Venus figure, I also have Michelangelo's David and The Thinker from the same line.

I love the park background as well!

They're cute together :)

And I love the park background that came with it!
I thought you were in a real park!

In my Ted introduction post you can see the full background:

Unfortunately they took a picture with Ted in it so I always have to cut that part out. It's a big park in Boston and some scenes where actually filmed there.

Here is the movie theme song "Everybody needs a best friend" which I love so much as it sounds so old fashioned but was written especially for it. My friend who lives in Boston recognized the park and the boat right away when I showed the clip to her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veHpPG-Wcy8

So what I did for my picture, I used the background standing and then added one of my printed cardboards that looks like grass on the ground. The two blend very well together!

I liked the song and the video, too. Was the song in the actual movie, or just with end credits?

I've told about me going to see John Barrowman in panto in Glasgow a few times, right? Usually they are very silly, over the top, as it is meant for children, but then there are some adult jokes for the parents as well.

Now imagine within all this silliness, suddenly a glittery curtain coming down, and out comes John, dressed in top hat, tails and with a walking stick, looking like Fred Astaire, and dancing and singing this song that I had never heard before. It was so unexpected and it blew me away. First show I saw it, I actually gave a squeal. Unfortunately the rest of the audience was very quiet at that moment (at other times, there is a lot of audience participation and shouting).

So this was my introduction to this song some years ago. When I was home I learned that it was from the movie "Ted" but then I read about it and never bothered to check it out. I could have been a fan of Seth years ago. I might have then even traveled to London in 2015 to see him in concert. I am always late LOL

The whole video as you see it actually plays over the opening credits of the movie. In the audio comment Seth said that originally the montage was done for when after the girl breaks up with the boy, and he remembers the good times they had together, but then they decided to move it to where it is now and fits much better.

The woman who sings the song is in the movie as well in a concert scene.

This was also the first time I watched anything with Mark Wahlberg and I really liked him in there. Not in a swooning way, not my type (of course I paid more attention to Ted and Seth voicing and playing him) and he is supposed to be the average guy but in a "really nice if a bit dumb guy" way. Throughout the movie I was engaged with the characters and entertained, not once bored or felt like fast forwarding. I've certainly seen worse movies. I did not laugh much but sat with a fond smile on my face. And with some of the "jokes", I just pretended I hadn't heard them ;)
